Patrick Mahomes spills details on Travis Kelce’s mental and health status with surprising revelation

Any NFL season is crucial for every single franchise in the league, but 2025 is shaping up as an epic one with epic consequences for the Kansas City Chiefs. Off the back of a crushing Super Bowl loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, the Chiefs find themselves at a precarious point in their franchise’s history: they could continue their dynasty or fall apart at the seams. At the forefront of all of that are Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce.

The latter, in particular, has a ton riding on this upcoming season. At 35 years old, Kelce made the decision to return to the team for at least one more year, foregoing a possible retirement. The biggest thing to take away from Mahomes’ quote is that he believes Kelce is in a better place physically than he was at this point last year. That is crucial due to Kelce getting older. Bodies in the NFL tend to wear much faster the older you get, so Kelce feeling great means we could be getting a bounceback season on the gridiron.
