Jennifer Lopez Shares Where She’s at In Her Life One Year After Ben Affleck Split

Ahead of tonight’s American Music Awards, host Jennifer Lopez opened up on the injury in rehearsals that left her in need of stitches, which she documented on her Instagram recently. “I hurt my nose,” she told People. “I hit it in rehearsal, and I had to get stitches. It was fine. A few of us have gotten hurt in rehearsals. We’re doing a very high-energy, athletic number so it’s, I guess, bound to happen.”
Lopez also told the outlet that, after a difficult 2024, “everything in my life right now just feels really healthy and good” and that she was “super excited” to perform this summer, telling the outlet, “I’m excited to tour.”
“I’m excited first to go do Pride,” the multihyphenate added of headlining WorldPride during Pride Month in June in Washington, D.C. “I’m super excited about that. I’m working on that show right now too as we speak, and crafting the tour as well. I’m excited to get back out there.”
Lopez kicks off her Up All Night Live tour—her first tour in six years, since 2019’s It’s My Party tour—in Egypt on July 4. “It seems like a perfect summer to celebrate being free and being happy,” she continued, adding, “I’m ready to get out there and make people sing and dance and have a good time. That’s always my goal.”
While Lopez’s “sweet” 17-year-old twins Max and Emme weren’t joining their mom at the AMAs on Monday night, Lopez added she thinks they’ll join her for some shows this summer. As for why they missed the AMAs, she explained, “They have school, so they can’t come. Sometimes I’ll take them out of school for something special.”
