Saquon Barkley defends Eagles’ Tush Push with no-nonsense response to NFL rumors

It’s an interesting time to be a Philadelphia Eagles fan, or a Philly sports fan in general. The Birds are so good and well run, it makes sleeping at night easy. The 76ers… Well… That’s another story. After another lottery, the Phillies own the third selection in June’s NBA Draft. It’s hard to trust that they’ll make wise decisions. That brings us to the Phillies. Watching them play baseball feels like watching the Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde play itself out on a baseball diamond. No one knows what this team will look like by October.
What’s the point? The Birds sometimes feel like the only thing we must be excited about. We won’t even start a conversation about the Flyers. It’s early, probably too early to say this, but the Eagles have a shot at repeating as Super Bowl champions. Saquon Barkley will have much to do with that. What has he been up to, you ask? He’s been pretty busy. He visited the White House at the end of April. More recently, he attended the Met Gala. As you might expect, he wasn’t able to avoid attention.
Saquon Barkley weighs in on the NFL’s potential Tush Push ban.
Stop us if you have heard this before. The Philadelphia Eagles have mastered the quarterback sneak, so much so that it has been given a nickname. Saying they have perfected it is an understatement. It hasn’t gone over well, so the conversation is familiar as another offseason wears on. Should one of Philly’s signature plays be banned?
Most have heard all of the arguments. Player safety… Risk of injury… It isn’t a football play… The truth is that teams are mad because the Birds do it too well. Saquon Barkley has had enough. Rather than avoid the question when asked at the 2025 Met Gala, he threw an uppercut that would make the late-great Joe Frazier proud.

Let’s be frank. There are mic-drop moments and Saquon’s thoughts on the Tush Push ban. There’s no longer a reason for debate. Saquon is one of us. His tenure here won’t be as long as other Eagles legends. It doesn’t matter. He’s an Eagle through and through and probably should have always been. He has a chance to be remembered as one of the most beloved Birds in franchise history. Something tells us he’ll be among the number.
