Justin Bieber went through what was described as a “nightmare” and “private hell” during his alleged interactions with Sean “Diddy” Combs, just months before the rapper’s trial on sex trafficking charges kicked off on Monday, an insider claimed to In Touch Weekly.  The pop sensation opened up to close confidants about the turmoil he faced in connection with Diddy, particularly after the music mogul’s recent arrest on severe allegations. On September 16, Diddy found himself facing accusations outlined in a 14-page indictment, which charged him with sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation for prostitution, painting a portrait of a “criminal enterprise” that mistreated women both sexually and physically.

Diddy, who is currently in the midst of a 6-8 week long trial, has pled not guilty and vehemently refuted all allegations, Diddy faces five charges across three federal indictments, including sex trafficking, conspiracy racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution.  The Mirror has contacted Justin Bieber’s representatives for comment.  While the rapper pled not guilty and denied all allegations against him, he’s now at the mercy of the jury as the trial begins. Diddy was arrested on Sept. 16, 2024, being taken to Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn. His defense team made multiple attempts at bail, but the court held consistently that he would need to stay behind bars until the fateful trial.

As the weeks stretch on, Diddy will be transported from his cell to the courthouse every day to sit in front of jurors, a packed gallery and witnesses to the case. Diddy is being tried at Daniel Patrick Moynihan Court House with the Honorable Arun Subramanian presiding over the proceedings.  While Justin Bieber himself has yet to share details publicly, one source disclosed to In Touch Weekly the detriment this ordeal has brought to the singer, especially given his complex history with the 54 year old Combs.

According to an inside tip, “The last thing Justin wants to do is relive or even discuss his complicated friendship with Diddy,” adding, “But he’s finally breaking his silence to his friends about his nightmare experience and the private hell it’s caused him.”  Diddy has been acquainted with Justin since his early days in the industry as a teen. Usher, one of Diddy’s protégés, had mentored the Canadian star.  Justin has also teamed up with Diddy, their latest collaboration being on the rapper’s fifth studio album, The Love Album: Off the Grid, featuring the song Moments. Numerous videos from their past have resurfaced amid Diddy’s scandal, causing concern among some fans.

One such video is an old 2009 Youtube vlog titled JUSTIN BIEBER’s 48 HRS with DIDDY!, where a then 15 year old Justin was hanging out with a then 40 year old Diddy. The Bad Boys CEO had stated: “Where we’re hanging out and what we’re doing, we can’t really disclose, but it’s definitely a 15-year-old’s dream.  “For the next 48 hours, he’s with me. And we’re gonna go full. Buck full crazy.”

These unearthed videos and their relationship have Beliebers “looking at his associations with other stars in a whole new light,” according to an In Touch source. Justin has been open about his past struggles throughout his career, including battling drug addiction, suicidal thoughts, and depression, particularly in a 2020 documentary titled Justin Bieber: Next Chapter.  In a heartfelt 2020 interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe, the 30 year old singer reflected on his past, stating, “It was hard for me, being that young and being in the industry and not knowing where to turn and everyone telling me they loved me, and turn their back on you in a second.”

He further expressed his personal struggles with the industry, which made him want “to protect” Billie Eilish, who, like him, started her music career at the tender age of 13.  “If she ever needs me, I’m going to be here for her. I don’t want her to go through anything I went through. I don’t wish that upon anybody,” Justin declared.  An insider revealed that Justin has advised many young stars to reach out to him “if they find themselves in a tough situation” adding that “he’s tried to be up-front about his demons and how he’s relied on therapy and his faith to get back on track.  “Still, it’s been hard to have all of this stuff being dredged up,” he admitted.

The source concluded by saying that while Justin is focusing on his “massively supportive” wife Hailey and their newborn son Jack Blue, “if speaking about his past trauma can help others, he probably will. He wants to break the cycle, once and for all.”  Meanwhile, Diddy’s trial was preceded by a grueling jury selection where prospects were carefully selected, beginning on May 5. Prior to the in courtroom grilling from attorneys, they were required to fill out a questionnaire with demographic and specific questions. Thereafter, they were sequestered as they were brought in individually to be questioned further.  This trial will only center on his potential guilt of criminal charges. The Bad Boy CEO still faces a slew of civil complaints from individuals across the United States who accuse him of sexual misconduct. He denies these allegations.
